The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position commencing in Fall Semester 2026. The role involves teaching one to two courses per semester in computer science and engineering on the AUS campus in Sharjah. Experience in the American higher education model is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Computer Science and Computer Engineering.

• Prepare course materials, lectures, assignments, and assessments.

• Engage and mentor a diverse student body from over 90 nationalities.

• Collaborate with department faculty on curriculum development and teaching initiatives.

• Maintain accurate records of student performance and course delivery.

Qualifications & Skills:

• PhD in Computer Engineering or closely related field.

• Significant teaching portfolio with experience in higher education.

• Familiarity with the American model of higher education is highly desirable.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with students and faculty from diverse backgrounds.

• Ability to teach courses typically offered during the day, 2–3 days per week.
