Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team in Abu Dhabi. This role is critical for managing supplier invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining financial compliance in coordination with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice & Expense Management:

• Accurately record and process supplier invoices in the invoice management system.

• Verify supporting documentation, correct coding, and tax compliance.

• Collaborate with departments to obtain invoice approvals and resolve discrepancies.

• Manage advance/prepayment documentation and proper recording upon service delivery.

Payment Processing:

• Handle urgent or advance payments based on internal requests and justifications.

• Prepare and schedule batch payments in coordination with finance and operations teams.

Supplier Account Management:

• Maintain updated supplier master records and accounts.

• Perform monthly reconciliations against supplier SOAs.

• Proactively follow up to resolve outstanding or debit balances with suppliers.

Month-End Closing Support:

• Ensure all payables data is correctly recorded before monthly close.

• Assist in reconciling accounts and providing reports to the Finance Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Administration (Finance focus required).

• ACCA, CIMA, or ACA certification preferred.

Experience:

• 4–5 years of accounts payable experience in the transport, marine, logistics, or aviation industry.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of accounts payable functions, invoice validation, and reconciliation.

• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

• Advanced MS Excel proficiency.

• Strong vendor management and reporting skills.

Communication:

• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

• Ability to collaborate across departments and meet tight deadlines.
