About the Role

Our client — a successful online trading company specializing in precious metals — is seeking an Accounting Specialist to manage and oversee daily accounting and financial operations.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and well-versed in UAE accounting standards and VAT compliance. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, support audits, and contribute to the company’s continued financial integrity. Fluency in Russian will be considered a strong asset for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.

• Assist in VAT return preparation and submission, ensuring full compliance with UAE tax regulations.

• Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely processing of payments and collections.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities and coordinate with external auditors.

• Maintain accurate financial records and uphold compliance with internal policies.

• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making.

• Manage accounting data using QuickBooks, Tally, or similar software, ensuring system accuracy.

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insights.

• Perform ad hoc financial analyses and reporting as required by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 2–5 years’ experience in accounting or finance, ideally within trading, fintech, or commodities sectors.

• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, VAT, and UAE tax reporting.

• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication in English; Russian language skills are highly regarded.

• Team-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
