Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeping Team Lead to oversee our Bookkeeping Services Department. This role requires strong leadership skills, accounting expertise, and the ability to manage a team of bookkeepers while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and bookkeeping operations.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision:

Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of 3-4 bookkeepers.

Review and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all bookkeeping work.

Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback to drive efficiency.

Assist in the training and development of bookkeeping staff.
Bookkeeping & Financial Management:

Oversee accounts payable and receivable management for a portfolio of clients.

Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and data entries.

Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, UAE taxation laws (Corporate Tax & VAT), and company policies.

Assist in process improvements and implementation of best practices in bookkeeping operations.
Client Management & Compliance:

Act as the primary point of contact for client bookkeeping queries and issue resolution.

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for clients.

Stay up to date with UAE accounting regulations and tax laws and ensure compliance across all bookkeeping processes.

Work closely with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial teams to ensure accurate reporting and regulatory adherence.

Skills & Qualifications:
Experience & Expertise:
-
3+ years of bookkeeping experience in the UAE.

Proven team leadership experience.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and UAE taxation laws (Corporate Tax & VAT).

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, ZohoBooks, 1C.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Educational Background & Certifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred).

Certification related to UAE taxation (preferred).

Residence Location: Dubai, UAE.
