Senior Accountant & Administrative Officer
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant & Administrative Officer to manage the company’s financial operations and support essential administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, taxation, and corporate compliance, with proven expertise in financial reporting, cash flow management, and administrative coordination in the UAE. This is a critical role that ensures both financial accuracy and regulatory compliance, while contributing to the overall efficiency of business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management & Accounting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with best accounting practices.

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts.

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.

  • Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash positions to ensure liquidity.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for audits and statutory filings.

2. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT laws, including registration, filings, refunds, and documentation.

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial and tax regulations to ensure company adherence.

  • Prepare and manage corporate tax filings, liaising with relevant authorities when required.

3. Corporate Administration

  • Manage trade license renewals and ensure timely submission of regulatory filings and permits.

  • Liaise with free zone authorities, government departments, and regulatory bodies.

  • Maintain compliance with all legal and operational requirements of business activity.

4. Banking & Treasury Functions

  • Manage day-to-day banking activities, including fund transfers and financial documentation.

  • Foster relationships with banking partners and financial institutions.

  • Monitor foreign exchange exposure and evaluate financial risks.

5. Process Improvement & Internal Controls

  • Implement streamlined accounting and administrative workflows for efficiency.

  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and data.

  • Support automation and digitalization of financial and administrative processes.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and administration, preferably in logistics, trading, or service sectors.

  • In-depth knowledge of UAE financial regulations, VAT, and corporate governance.

  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Odoo, or other ERP tools.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical thinking and financial reporting skills.

  • Thorough understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards.

  • High attention to detail and excellent multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to work independently with a proactive problem-solving approach.

  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French or Arabic is a plus.

Salary:
AED 8,000 to 12,000 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances)
