Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records and support operational activities within a logistics and transport environment. The role involves handling daily accounting tasks, monitoring costs per shipment or vehicle, and ensuring accurate documentation to support business operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

A. Accounting & Finance

• Maintain daily accounting records including receipts, payments, and journal entries.

• Prepare and issue customer invoices for transport, freight, and related services.

• Record supplier invoices such as fuel, maintenance, and subcontractor costs.

• Monitor accounts receivable and payable, following up on outstanding balances.

• Track cash flow and manage petty cash transactions.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations.

• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, including profit & loss and expense tracking.

• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.

• Maintain VAT documentation and support tax filings when applicable.

• Track trip, vehicle, and shipment costs to evaluate operational profitability.

B. Logistics & Operations Support

• Prepare and manage transport documentation, including delivery orders, invoices, trip sheets, and LPOs.

• Record operational expenses such as fuel, tolls, border fees, and waiting charges.

• Maintain vehicle-related records including registration, insurance, permits, and maintenance logs.

• Provide billing data and job-costing information to the operations team.

C. Administrative Responsibilities

• Manage general office administration and maintain organized documentation.

• Maintain employee records for drivers and staff.

• Assist with salary processing, advances, and expense claims.

• Coordinate with banks, government departments, insurers, and vendors.

• Maintain structured physical and digital filing systems.

• Support basic HR administration, including attendance and leave records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.

• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within logistics, transport, or freight sectors.

• Knowledge of invoicing, receivables management, VAT basics, and expense tracking.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, or similar systems.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently with integrity and accountability.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: AED 3,000 – 4,000 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances).
