Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) is a leading economic hub committed to providing world-class services and facilities to its staff and stakeholders. The Accommodation Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring that RAKEZ staff accommodations are efficiently managed, well-maintained, and compliant with health, safety, and operational standards.

This on-site role requires proactive monitoring of facilities, addressing tenant complaints, preparing structured performance reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Accommodation Assistant will also coordinate vendors, conduct inspections, organize events, and respond promptly to emergencies, contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of accommodation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cleanliness, safety, and overall condition of staff accommodations and common areas.

  • Verify and coordinate maintenance requests, track recurring technical issues, and support preventive and corrective maintenance planning.

  • Supervise housekeeping, pest control, catering, and drinking water vendors to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

  • Conduct regular and surprise inspections, document violations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

  • Monitor tenant behavior, report serious cases, and enforce accommodation rules.

  • Ensure strict compliance with MOHRE and other government regulations; facilitate inspections.

  • Prepare structured reports on occupancy, maintenance, service performance, and contractor evaluations.

  • Conduct orientation sessions for new tenants and distribute handbooks promoting awareness of regulations.

  • Organize and coordinate events such as sports tournaments, community activities, and labor celebrations.

  • Be available on-site to respond swiftly to emergencies.

  • Manage multiple accommodation complexes while ensuring consistent service standards.

  • Recommend process and service improvements to enhance tenant satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Approximately 2 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic and other languages such as Tamil, Urdu, or Malayalam is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships.

  • Good practical knowledge of environmental services, safety, and hygiene standards.

  • Ability to prepare accurate records, correspondence, and reports.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Ability to handle pressure, adapt to changes, and manage multiple tasks concurrently.

  • Proficient with PC and Microsoft Windows applications.

  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
