About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Chief Accountant to join a leading international company based in the UAE. This role requires in-depth knowledge of IFRS, UAE tax laws, and financial reporting standards. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of accounting operations, ensure compliance with corporate tax and VAT regulations, and coordinate audits and financial closings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee VAT and UAE Corporate Income Tax reporting, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation

• Manage monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial closings

• Prepare periodic managerial and financial reports to support strategic decision-making

• Perform bank, asset, and general ledger reconciliations

• Coordinate and support annual external audits and ensure timely completion

• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with IFRS and local regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

✅ Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics

✅ Professional Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within an international company

• Hands-on experience with accounting software, specifically 1C and First Bit Software

• Strong grasp of IFRS, UAE tax regulations, and financial statement preparation

✅ Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting

• Experience managing tax submissions (VAT and CIT)

• High accuracy in managing numerical data and financial documentation

✅ Language & Communication:

• English: B2 level proficiency or higher

• Russian: Required

• Chinese: Advantageous
