AML Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented AML Analyst to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) regulations, safeguarding the organization against financial crime risks while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay up to date with AML/CTF laws and regulations, including UAE Federal laws, DFSA, ADGM, FSRA, and SCA requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain AML compliance policies, procedures, systems, and internal controls.
  • Oversee AML operations, conduct compliance reviews, and implement effective control measures.
  • Act as the primary liaison with UAE regulatory authorities, including DFSA and ADGM, on AML-related matters.
  • Ensure all AML risk assessments and customer due diligence (CDD/KYC) processes are properly conducted.
  • Receive and evaluate internal Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and take appropriate action.
  • Report suspicious activities to the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and relevant authorities.
  • Design and deliver AML/CFT training programs to enhance staff awareness and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records and registers related to AML compliance, including breaches, complaints, and training logs.
  • Update and manage the Compliance Monitoring Program and AML Business Risk Assessment.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports in a timely manner.
  • Handle additional compliance-related tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an AML/compliance role with similar responsibilities.
  • Prior experience as MLRO or Deputy MLRO is highly preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CAMS or equivalent is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE AML/CTF regulations, including DFSA and ADGM frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and professionalism.
