We are seeking an experienced Project & Design Manager for a 9–11 month contract assignment based in Dubai Investment Park (DIP). This role will lead the full design lifecycle of modular construction projects, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and efficient project delivery.

The successful candidate will oversee multi-disciplinary design coordination from concept through to IFC and handover, while driving innovation, standardization, and buildability in modular construction.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership & Strategy

• Lead end-to-end design development for modular building projects
• Define and implement design strategies, execution plans, and DfMA principles
• Establish design workflows, approval processes, and information management systems
• Promote buildability, efficiency, and standardized design solutions

Design Governance & Management

• Develop and maintain design documentation, including responsibility matrices and risk registers
• Manage design schedules to align with project milestones
• Oversee design change control, impact analysis, and approval processes
• Ensure compliance with regulations, specifications, and sustainability requirements

Technical Coordination & Oversight

• Coordinate architects, engineers, MEP teams, and external consultants
• Review drawings, BIM models, and technical submissions
• Manage design data through Common Data Environments (CDE)
• Lead clash detection, model coordination, and constructability reviews

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Serve as the primary design liaison for clients and stakeholders
• Prepare and present technical reports, design proposals, and progress updates
• Lead design meetings, workshops, and review sessions
• Manage feedback resolution and design approvals

Project Delivery Support

• Support manufacturing and on-site construction teams during execution
• Resolve design challenges to avoid delays or cost overruns
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary design teams
• Foster collaboration and high-performance team culture
• Support resource planning and workload management

Requirements

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in design management or coordination
• Strong experience in modular construction, off-site manufacturing, or prefabrication
• Proficiency in BIM tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.)
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in programme management, risk assessment, and change control

Preferred:

• Knowledge of sustainable and low-carbon design practices
• Experience with CDE platforms and BIM Execution Plans
• Familiarity with lean construction and digital delivery methods
• Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge

Salary & Benefits

• AED 25,000 – 45,000 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances)
• Contract duration: 9–11 months
