Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join a dynamic FMCG distribution company in Dubai. This role offers hands-on exposure to supply chain finance, inventory accounting, and regional trade operations within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will support daily accounting functions, ensure financial accuracy, and contribute to efficient financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process supplier invoices and verify delivery notes against purchase orders

• Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding payments from retailers and supermarkets

Inventory Accounting

• Reconcile physical inventory with system records

• Assist in conducting periodic stock counts at distribution centers

Expense & Cash Management

• Review and process employee expenses and petty cash transactions

• Monitor daily cash flow and financial transactions

Bank Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records

VAT Compliance

• Assist in preparing VAT returns in line with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations

• Maintain proper documentation for tax compliance

Financial Reporting

• Support preparation of monthly financial reports, including P&L and variance analysis

• Assist senior finance team members with closing activities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce

• 2–5 years of accounting experience (FMCG or logistics experience preferred)

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally

• Good understanding of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations

• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
