About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Tax Lawyer to join a leading legal and advisory practice in Dubai.

Reporting to the Managing Partner (and, as required, other Partners), the successful candidate will play a strategic advisory role, managing complex tax mandates and delivering high-level guidance on UAE and international tax matters. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong drafting skills, and the ability to advise on sophisticated cross-border transactions and regulatory compliance.

This is a senior-level position suited to a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in corporate and international tax advisory.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Advisory & Structuring

• Provide expert advisory on UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, Transfer Pricing, and international taxation

• Advise on tax-efficient structuring, corporate reorganisations, and cross-border transactions

• Analyse tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and group restructurings

• Conduct comprehensive tax due diligence exercises

Technical Drafting & Opinions

• Draft and review detailed tax opinions, memoranda, and advisory reports

• Interpret evolving UAE tax regulations and international frameworks

• Provide compliance guidance aligned with regulatory developments

Disputes & Regulatory Representation

• Represent clients in tax audits, assessments, and dispute resolution proceedings

• Liaise with UAE and international tax authorities

• Manage complex tax controversies and negotiation processes

Business Development & Strategic Growth

• Identify advisory opportunities with existing and prospective clients

• Support proposal preparation, engagement documentation, and client presentations

• Contribute to strengthening the firm’s tax advisory brand and market positioning

Collaboration & Governance

• Work closely with partners, auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders

• Maintain accurate records of advisory mandates and compliance documentation

• Monitor regulatory changes, OECD developments, and market trends

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Law, Taxation, Accounting, or related field

• 10–15 years of post-qualification experience in corporate, VAT, transfer pricing, or international tax advisory

• Strong knowledge of UAE tax regulations, free zone frameworks, and OECD guidelines

• Proven expertise in complex corporate and cross-border tax matters

• Experience managing high-value mandates under tight deadlines

• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client relationship management skills

• Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen

• Prior experience within law firms, advisory firms, or multinational tax teams preferred
