Your New Role

We are seeking an academic Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) and Discipline Lead in Media and Communications.

This role provides academic leadership of the Media and Communications portfolio while delivering high-quality teaching and contributing to research and/or creative practice, industry engagement, and student success.

Working collaboratively with colleagues in Dubai and Perth, you will support:

• Curriculum delivery and innovation

• Accreditation alignment

• Portfolio development and growth

• Strategic discipline leadership

As Discipline Lead, you will contribute to the strategic development of Media and Communications in alignment with the University’s broader goals.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

• Deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching

• Design, coordinate, and assess curriculum

• Supervise student projects and research

Research & Creative Practice

• Maintain research and/or creative outputs appropriate to career stage

• Engage with industry partners and contribute to discipline scholarship

Academic Leadership (Discipline Lead)

• Provide coordination and mentoring within the discipline

• Support curriculum innovation and accreditation processes

• Contribute to strategic planning and discipline growth

Collaboration

• Work effectively within a transnational academic framework

• Collaborate with colleagues across Dubai and Perth campuses

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum Master’s degree in Media and Communications or related discipline

• PhD required for Senior Lecturer (Level C)

Experience

• Tertiary teaching experience

• Curriculum development and assessment expertise

• Research and/or creative practice record

• Academic leadership or coordination experience

Skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work in a multicultural, transnational environment

• Commitment to student success and academic excellence
