Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Field Service Technician to support and maintain a growing fleet of electric trucks and trailers across the UAE.

This role is critical in ensuring operational uptime, diagnosing technical issues, and maintaining high fleet performance standards. As operations expand, the technician will also support activities related to autonomous vehicle systems and emerging transport technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Monitoring & Management

• Monitor operational performance of electric trucks and trailers

• Oversee connected vehicle systems and telematics

• Coordinate proactively with fleet operations teams to address issues

• Support uptime optimization in a 24×7 operational environment

Field Service & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and repair 24-volt electrical systems

• Troubleshoot mechanical components and onboard vehicle systems

• Respond to breakdowns and roadside emergency repairs

• Conduct preventive maintenance on:

  • 6×4 electric trucks

  • 40-foot skeleton trailers

• Coordinate maintenance logistics with third-party vendors

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed service logs and diagnostic reports

• Track maintenance activities and component replacements

• Provide technical feedback to operations and management teams

• Support continuous fleet improvement initiatives

Travel & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Travel across the UAE for field support

• Occasionally travel internationally for training and technical projects

• Work closely with:

  • Customer representatives

  • Internal fleet teams

  • External service providers

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience with heavy-duty trucks and trailer systems

• Strong 24-volt electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting expertise

• Solid understanding of truck and trailer mechanical systems

• Experience in high-paced 24×7 operations environments

• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical schematics

• Experience working on trailers preferred

• Experience with electric commercial vehicles is an advantage

• Manual driving license required (heavy-duty license preferred)

• Flexibility for emergency breakdown calls and off-hour support

• Strong communication and service-oriented mindset

• Urdu, Punjabi, or Hindi speaking mandatory
