A leading retail organization is seeking an experienced Category Buyer to drive commercial success across a high-volume FMCG portfolio in Dubai.

This role is responsible for managing product categories to achieve sales growth, profitability, and market competitiveness. You will develop and execute category strategies, source innovative products, and build strong supplier partnerships while ensuring optimal stock levels and promotional performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned FMCG categories to deliver sales, margin, and growth targets.

• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives.

• Conduct range reviews, product selection, and lifecycle management.

• Identify new product opportunities and onboard strategic suppliers.

• Negotiate pricing, rebates, and commercial trading terms.

• Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships.

• Monitor KPIs including sales performance, margins, and inventory levels.

• Plan and execute promotions, analyzing performance and ROI.

• Ensure competitive pricing through market benchmarking and positioning.

• Collaborate with supply chain teams for demand forecasting and stock planning.

• Track competitor activity and analyze market trends to inform decisions.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of buying experience within FMCG or grocery retail.

• Strong negotiation, commercial acumen, and supplier management skills.

• Proven experience in category management and assortment planning.

• Advanced analytical ability with strong Excel proficiency.

• Background in fast-paced, high-volume retail environments.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
