Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager – Structural Engineering to lead the development and delivery of structural concrete design solutions while ensuring compliance with local authority regulations. This role will oversee structural design validation, manage drafting teams, coordinate statutory submissions, and support project execution from design through construction.

The position requires strong technical leadership, authority liaison experience, and the ability to ensure high-quality structural deliverables aligned with project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structural concrete design solutions in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements.

• Review structural calculations, assumptions, and constructability to ensure design integrity prior to construction issuance.

• Supervise and coordinate the structural drafting team to produce accurate drawings, details, and schedules aligned with approved designs.

• Implement quality control procedures across all structural deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

• Manage submissions to statutory authorities, ensuring documentation meets compliance standards and deadlines.

• Liaise with authorities, clients, consultants, and engineers to resolve technical queries and obtain approvals.

• Attend coordination and review meetings to present technical justifications and close approval comments.

• Identify and implement value engineering opportunities to optimize materials, cost, and construction methodology.

• Provide ongoing technical support to site teams, including responding to RFIs and resolving structural challenges.

• Maintain proper documentation of submissions, revisions, approvals, and technical correspondence.

Candidate Requirements

Experience & Education

• 10–20 years of experience within the UAE/GCC, preferably in contracting and warehousing projects.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

• Authority accreditations or licenses are advantageous.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in structural design, estimation, and cost control.

• Leadership capability with effective communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multidisciplinary coordination across design and site teams.

• Proficiency in structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, and PROKON, along with manual calculation methods.

Salary & Benefits

• AED 25,000 – 30,000 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances).
