Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-driven Associate – VAT & Tax Compliance to support regional tax operations across GCC markets. This role focuses on VAT reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with finance, operations, and external authorities to ensure accurate and timely tax submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit VAT returns across GCC countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman (Egypt experience is an advantage).

• Reconcile sales, purchases, and tax adjustments on a monthly or quarterly basis.

• Review invoices, financial ledgers, and ERP data (e.g., SAP or Oracle) to validate VAT treatment, deferrals, and apportionments.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve reconciliation issues, audit queries, and cross-border tax matters.

• Monitor updates in GCC tax regulations and implement necessary changes to reporting processes.

• Support external audits and respond to tax authority requests with accurate documentation and schedules.

• Assist in maintaining compliance with evolving e-invoicing and indirect tax frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in VAT compliance or indirect taxation.

• Strong accounting knowledge, including reconciliations and financial analysis.

• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and experience with ERP systems.

• Familiarity with GCC tax regulations and online tax portals.

• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or VAT-related qualifications are an advantage.

• Experience in retail or distribution sectors within the GCC is preferred.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
