KEO International Consultants is seeking a highly experienced and technically skilled Senior Energy Engineer to join its award-winning team in Dubai. This role will lead complex energy audit projects, greenhouse gas (GHG) assessments, and sustainability strategy development across multi-asset portfolios.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in international sustainability frameworks, energy performance contracting, and financial modeling of Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs).
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Energy Audit Leadership
-
Lead and manage ASHRAE Level 1 (Walkthrough) and Level 2/3 (Detailed/IGA) energy audits across diverse building portfolios (residential, retail, commercial, hospitality).

Establish utility baselines through detailed analysis of 3+ years of consumption data (electricity, water, district cooling).

Conduct GHG emissions calculations and reporting aligned with:

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

GHG Protocol
-
ISO 14064-1 & 2
-
Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
-

Support organizations in setting and registering Science-Based Targets (SBTs).
Technical Assessment & Analysis
-
Conduct field audits of HVAC systems, lighting, controls, and building envelopes.
-
Assess chillers, AHUs, cooling towers, pumps, and BAS optimization opportunities.
-
Evaluate renewable energy systems, including solar PV feasibility and production estimates.

Perform thermal imaging and building performance diagnostics.
ECM Development & Financial Modeling
-
Identify and prioritize Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs).
-
Prepare cost estimates and savings calculations.
-
Conduct financial analysis including:

Simple Payback
-
NPV (Net Present Value)
-
IRR (Internal Rate of Return)
-
Lifecycle Cost Analysis
-

Develop Marginal Abatement Cost Curves (MACC).
-
Create phased multi-year implementation roadmaps.
Documentation & Reporting
-
Prepare detailed facility-level audit reports and executive portfolio summaries.

Develop tender documentation and technical specifications.
-
Deliver high-level presentations to senior stakeholders and clients.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
-
Lead multidisciplinary project teams.
-
Mentor junior engineers and analysts.
-
Serve as primary technical contact for clients.

Ensure compliance with ASHRAE guidelines and global best practices.
🔹 Qualifications
-
8+ years of experience in energy auditing, building performance, or energy management consulting.
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, Building Science, or related field.

Proven experience managing multi-facility audit portfolios (15+ facilities).

Strong HVAC systems and building automation expertise.
-
Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and energy calculations.

Experience in Energy Performance Contracting (EPC).
-
Knowledge of renewable energy systems, especially solar PV.

Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
