Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and growth-driven Director of Retail Pharmacy Development to lead the expansion and operational development of our retail pharmacy network across the UAE and African markets.

This executive leadership role will be responsible for driving market expansion, strengthening operational performance, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring regulatory compliance within the retail pharmacy sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s long-term retail strategy and healthcare delivery model.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to expand the retail pharmacy footprint across Dubai, the UAE, and target African markets.

• Lead and manage the retail pharmacy development team to achieve growth targets and operational excellence.

• Identify, assess, and secure new pharmacy locations, partnerships, and investment opportunities.

• Collaborate with marketing, operations, supply chain, regulatory, and finance teams to ensure successful pharmacy rollout and performance.

• Ensure full compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, DHA requirements, and applicable regional standards.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging healthcare innovations to inform strategic planning.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience, service quality, and operational efficiency.

• Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track growth, profitability, and network performance.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in retail pharmacy development or healthcare business expansion within the UAE or Middle East region.

• Strong track record of driving business growth and managing multi-location retail operations.

• In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, pharmacy licensing, and compliance standards.

• Excellent strategic planning, financial analysis, and market development skills.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

• Results-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
