Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically qualified Fit-Out Inspector to oversee and approve commercial and retail fit-out works within DMCC and JLT developments in Dubai.

This site-based role requires strong knowledge of Dubai authority regulations, fit-out approval processes, fire & life safety standards, and MEP coordination. The successful candidate will ensure all works comply with approved drawings, local authority regulations, safety standards, and quality benchmarks prior to final approval and handover.

The role demands strong technical judgment, regulatory expertise, and the ability to manage multiple inspections while coordinating with contractors, consultants, and authority representatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of commercial, retail, and office fit-out works within DMCC/JLT zones.

• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and authority approvals.

• Ensure adherence to DMCC, JAFZA, Dubai Civil Defence, and UAE building regulations.

• Inspect works at pre-construction, ongoing, and post-completion stages.

• Issue inspection reports, snag lists, and non-compliance notices as required.

• Approve or reject fit-out works based on technical and regulatory compliance.

• Review and assess method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings.

• Ensure MEP systems, fire & life safety installations, and interior finishes meet approved standards.

• Monitor rectification works and confirm closure of snags and observations.

• Maintain detailed inspection records and approval documentation.

• Provide technical guidance to tenants and contractors on compliance and authority requirements.

Technical Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

• Minimum 5+ years of UAE experience in fit-out inspection, QA/QC, or construction supervision.

• Strong understanding of DMCC/JLT fit-out guidelines and approval processes.

• Solid knowledge of Dubai Civil Defence requirements, local authority regulations, and UAE building codes.

• Experience inspecting commercial offices, retail units, and mixed-use developments.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, and shop drawings.

• Proficiency in MS Office and inspection reporting tools.

• Valid UAE driving license.
