About the Role

A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead a major mall expansion project in Dubai valued at up to AED 1 billion.

This is a senior leadership role requiring extensive UAE experience delivering large-scale mall or civil construction projects. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, technical leadership, and full project accountability from pre-construction through final delivery.

This is a direct hire, permanent position available for immediate joining.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Strategic Leadership

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team on a high-profile mega project

• Drive project strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders

• Oversee full project lifecycle including planning, execution, and delivery

• Provide technical leadership across all project phases

• Ensure alignment with regional business plans and organizational objectives

Operational & Commercial Accountability

• Hold full accountability for project performance, delivery, and financial outcomes

• Develop and improve operational policies and procedures

• Approve innovative construction methodologies and technologies

• Consolidate and prioritize solutions across multiple projects for regional benefit

• Ensure compliance with UAE statutory authority requirements and regulatory frameworks

Client & Industry Representation

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and industry bodies

• Represent the organization in high-level meetings and presentations

• Contribute to industry thought leadership through conferences and publications

People & Resource Management

• Lead talent development and succession planning within the region

• Oversee staffing, performance evaluations, training, and engagement

• Provide mentorship to senior project and construction management teams

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

• Chartered status (RICS or MCIOB) preferred

• 15+ years of experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects

• Proven experience as Project Director or Senior Project Manager on mega mall or large civil projects in the UAE

• Experience delivering projects valued up to AED 1 billion

• Strong understanding of UAE statutory authority processes and approval timelines

• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills

• Strong presentation and communication abilities

Salary & Benefits

• AED 70,000 – 80,000 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances)
