Role Overview

MENA Assistance is a leading provider of roadside, vehicle, and motorist support services across the region. Our technology platforms operate 24/7, supporting real customers and real incidents where reliability, speed, and continuity of service are essential.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and support business-critical systems that underpin our operations at scale. This is a hands-on role offering genuine ownership of production systems, working closely with product, operations, and leadership teams in a service-driven, high-availability environment.

This role is best suited to engineers who value responsibility, sound judgement, and solving real-world problems in live systems.

This is not a purely feature-driven development role. You will take end-to-end ownership of systems that are actively used every day, ensuring they remain stable, resilient, and fit for purpose. The work is varied and practical, involving production support, system improvement, and architectural decision-making with direct operational impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, high-availability systems

• Own services end-to-end, from architecture and development through to production support

• Improve system reliability, resilience, automation, and operational tooling

• Troubleshoot and resolve live production issues with sound technical judgement

• Collaborate closely with product and operations teams to translate real business needs into technical solutions

• Contribute to the evolution of system architecture, ensuring maintainability and flexibility

• Apply secure development practices in line with OWASP Top 10

• Mentor and support other engineers, contributing to team capability and standards

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years’ experience in backend or full-stack software engineering roles

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline

• Strong experience building, running, and supporting production systems

• Solid backend expertise in .NET, C#, and API development

• Experience with modern enterprise applications, JavaScript front ends, event-driven systems, and API integrations

• Strong understanding of design patterns and the frameworks that implement them

• Extensive experience with databases and industry-standard ORM tools

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and containerised environments

• Exposure to designing and maintaining distributed, scalable systems

• Practical, ownership-focused engineering mindset

• Calm, considered judgement when working on live, service-critical platforms

Additional Information

This role supports MENA Assistance platforms and operational systems. Employment will be through the Group’s technology entity. The position is on-site in Dubai and offered on a full-time basis.
