Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Vision & Sensors Engineer to join an innovative robotics and manufacturing team in Dubai. This role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying production-ready machine vision and sensor systems that improve the accuracy, reliability, and intelligence of robotic solutions operating in real-world industrial environments.

You will work hands-on with 2D/3D vision systems and sensor technologies, translating raw data into reliable perception outputs that directly drive robotic decision-making and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate 2D and 3D vision systems for robotics and manufacturing applications

• Develop perception outputs including measurements, confidence/accuracy metrics, and accept/reject logic

• Implement and maintain camera calibration, camera-to-world alignment, and system accuracy

• Design and optimise algorithms for image processing, object detection, inspection, and sensor data interpretation

• Integrate and fuse data from multiple sensors including cameras, 3D sensors, and LiDAR

• Perform system testing, calibration, validation, and troubleshooting in live manufacturing environments

• Collaborate with robotics, automation, and software teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

• Produce clear technical documentation, specifications, and deployment procedures

• Stay current with emerging trends in machine vision, sensing technologies, and robotics

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field

• Proven hands-on experience in machine vision or computer vision, ideally within robotics or manufacturing

• Strong understanding of image processing, perception algorithms, and sensor integration/fusion

• Practical experience with vision hardware such as industrial cameras, 3D cameras, LiDAR, or similar sensors

• Proficiency in Python and C++ (MATLAB experience is an advantage)

• Experience working with real-world industrial constraints such as lighting variation, vibration, speed, and accuracy requirements

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

• Clear communicator with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
