Role Overview

The Senior Project Engineer acts as the primary technical bridge between project design and on-site execution. This role is ideal for a seasoned construction professional with 8–10 years of experience and a strong, hands-on understanding of Civil, MEP, and Architectural / Interior works.

The successful candidate will ensure technical alignment across all trades, uphold rigorous quality standards, and manage the project’s critical path using MS Project—playing a vital role in delivering complex construction projects efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Coordination & Multi-Trade Oversight

• Review, coordinate, and reconcile Civil, MEP, and Architectural drawings to identify and resolve clashes prior to execution

• Ensure seamless sequencing of subcontractors, aligning structural, MEP, and interior fit-out works

• Serve as the on-site technical authority, providing practical and buildable solutions to construction challenges

• Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining design intent and quality

2. Site Operations & Quality Assurance

• Establish and enforce strict quality control standards across all trades

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and applicable codes

• Supervise daily site operations and subcontractor performance

• Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards

3. Project Planning, Scheduling & Administration

• Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using MS Project, ensuring adherence to milestones and deadlines

• Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage long-lead items, including MEP systems and specialized finishes

• Manage RFIs, technical submittals, method statements, and approvals

• Maintain accurate technical documentation and provide clear progress reports to the Project Manager

Requirements

Experience & Technical Expertise

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in construction contracting

• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary works including Civil, MEP, and Interior Fit-Out

• Strong ability to interpret and coordinate complex drawings, schematics, and specifications

Software & Tools

• Advanced proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft Office

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or BIM platforms is highly desirable

Leadership & Communication

• Strong leadership and coordination skills with subcontractors and site teams

• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and decisively

• Capable of acting as a dependable deputy to the Project Manager
