Chalhoub Group is seeking a skilled Shopify Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance high-performance e-commerce platforms that support its luxury retail brands across digital channels. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and user-centric Shopify and headless commerce solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless omnichannel experiences.

The successful candidate will work across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, and integrations that power modern retail platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Shopify and headless e-commerce solutions aligned with business requirements

• Design and implement scalable microservices and RESTful APIs

• Build responsive frontend applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React or Vue

• Customize Shopify storefront behavior using APIs, collections, discounts, promotions, and integrations

• Collaborate with product, design, marketing, and operations teams to deliver platform enhancements

• Optimize application performance using caching strategies, CDN, and performance tuning

• Diagnose, debug, and resolve technical issues across Shopify applications

• Produce clear technical documentation and solution designs

• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices

• Mentor junior developers and promote continuous learning within the team

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Strong full-stack experience with Shopify and e-commerce platforms

• Solid knowledge of frontend technologies and JavaScript frameworks

• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and third-party integrations

• Understanding of headless commerce architecture and performance optimization

• Familiarity with DevOps, agile delivery, and release management

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
