Chalhoub Group, the leading luxury retail partner in the Middle East, is looking for a Category Management Trainee to support category planning, assortment management, supply chain coordination, and brand performance analysis. This role offers hands-on exposure to luxury retail operations, ecommerce coordination, and supplier collaboration within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
The trainee will work closely with category managers, supply chain, ecommerce, finance, and brand teams to ensure smooth execution of category initiatives and timely product launches.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Ecommerce Coordination

Coordinate weekly supply chain and ecommerce activities to support category operations

Conduct weekly one-on-one follow-ups to monitor new brand launches and novelty trackers

Track ecommerce initiatives including novelty pipelines and GWP uploads, ensuring timely go-live on digital platforms
Assortment Management & Analysis

Perform regular assortment reviews and stock-on-hand (SOH) analysis for underperforming brands

Support assortment planning for seasonal activations and promotional events

Monitor stock availability to ensure optimal performance during campaigns
Floor Planning & Category Activations

Update floor plans and planograms in coordination with category managers

Participate in category discussions, negotiations, and activation planning

Follow up on agreed discounts, promotions, and activations to ensure timely execution
Accounting & Supplier Coordination

Handle accounting-related queries related to payment closures

Act as a liaison between suppliers and finance teams on a bi-weekly basis

Track compensation, rebates, and payment issues, ensuring accurate follow-up
Brand Expansion & Market Intelligence

Support brand expansion initiatives through demand planning and assortment coordination

Conduct weekly competitor and market analysis to support category strategy and performance optimization
What You’ll Need to Succeed

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications

Previous experience in retail or category management is an advantage

Ability to communicate effectively in English and Arabic

Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills

Willingness and ability to commute to the Jebel Ali office
