A Dubai-based professional services firm is seeking an accomplished Manager / Partner – External Audit to join its leadership team. This role is suited to a senior audit professional with strong engagement management experience and deep exposure to financial services audits, particularly within the banking sector.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading audit engagements, managing client relationships, developing teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services in line with international and UAE regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee external audit engagements from planning through completion

• Agree audit scopes, objectives, timelines, and engagement budgets with clients

• Ensure audits are delivered profitably, on time, and in compliance with professional and firm standards

• Plan and coordinate audit resources, workload allocation, and engagement staffing

• Define audit strategies and establish the overall scope of audit assignments

• Review audit work with professional skepticism, challenging management assumptions and supporting evidence

• Approve and sign off final audit reports prior to client submission

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on financial services and banking institutions

• Manage, coach, and develop audit teams through ongoing feedback and performance reviews

• Contribute to business development initiatives and firm growth where applicable

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline

• Postgraduate qualification is an advantage

• Professionally qualified ACA, ACCA, or CPA

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in External Audit within a top-tier or international audit firm

• Proven experience managing complex audit engagements and leading audit teams

• Strong understanding of UAE regulatory, legal, and compliance frameworks

• In-depth knowledge of International Auditing Standards (ISA)

• Working knowledge of IT systems and their impact on audit processes

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• High attention to detail and strong commitment to audit quality and professional ethics
