Position: Resident Engineer

ITALCONSULT is seeking a highly experienced Resident Engineer with extensive knowledge of Dubai’s sewerage and infrastructure networks to oversee complex infrastructure and emergency works projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to make timely on-site decisions while coordinating closely with Dubai Municipality (DM), RTA, and other service authorities.

This position is suitable for a senior-level professional with proven leadership experience in large-scale sewerage, stormwater, and road works projects within Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage sewerage network works, including manholes, VC WO, AV chambers, and pumping station rehabilitation

• Evaluate timelines and make immediate technical decisions for emergency and critical works

• Coordinate with Dubai Municipality, RTA, and relevant service authorities to ensure project compliance

• Oversee non-disruptive road crossings, road construction, and reinstatement works

• Manage the design and supervision of stormwater drainage and irrigation systems

• Ensure works comply with DM and RTA standards, specifications, and safety requirements

• Review excavation, backfilling, asphalt, and tile reinstatement methods

• Monitor quality assurance, quantity surveying, and cost control activities

• Prepare instructions, specifications, technical reports, progress updates, and cost estimates

• Utilize project planning and monitoring tools, including Primavera P3

• Lead and supervise site teams to ensure timely and safe project delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized university

• Minimum 20 years’ experience in a senior engineering or resident engineer role

• In-depth knowledge of Dubai sewerage infrastructure and networks

• Strong familiarity with Dubai Municipality General Conditions of Contract

• Proven experience liaising with DM, RTA, and other service authorities

• Full knowledge of excavation, backfilling, NDRC methods, and reinstatement standards

• Strong understanding of safety regulations in accordance with DM and RTA requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Primavera P3

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and time management abilities

• Valid UAE Driving License
