Job Description:

Egis is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead large-scale bridge construction projects in Dubai, with a focus on RTA infrastructure and Etihad Rail bridge projects. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to drive strategic, technical, and commercial success across multiple high-value projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Project Leadership

• Lead and oversee multiple high-value bridge construction projects from mobilization to handover.

• Serve as the primary point of contact with RTA, Etihad Rail, consultants, and stakeholders.

• Provide strategic direction to Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, and Commercial teams.

• Ensure project execution aligns with company objectives, contractual obligations, and client expectations.

Technical & Engineering Oversight

• Supervise planning, design coordination, and execution of bridge structures, including viaducts, flyovers, interchanges, rail bridges, and associated works.

• Ensure compliance with RTA and Etihad Rail standards, UAE regulations, and international best practices.

• Review and approve construction methodologies, temporary works, sequencing, and value engineering proposals.

Commercial & Contract Management

• Manage contracts, variations, claims, and dispute resolution in collaboration with the Commercial team.

• Monitor project budgets, cash flow, cost control, and profitability.

• Lead negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Schedule & Risk Management

• Oversee project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.

• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

• Drive recovery plans for delayed or underperforming projects.

Quality, HSE & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, RTA, and Etihad Rail safety regulations.

• Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites.

• Implement and maintain effective quality assurance and control systems.

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

• Mentor and develop senior project teams for high performance and succession planning.

• Represent the company at high-level meetings, project governance forums, and progress reviews.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory). Master’s or PMP certification is a plus.

• Minimum 15 years of UAE experience in civil infrastructure projects.

• Proven experience as a Project Director, Senior Project Manager, or Lead on major bridge projects in Dubai.

• Hands-on experience delivering RTA bridge projects and Etihad Rail infrastructure projects.

• Strong background in multidisciplinary civil and structural works.

Skills & Competencies:

• Expert knowledge of RTA and Etihad Rail standards, specifications, and approvals.

• Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge (FIDIC-based contracts preferred).

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage complex, fast-track projects in a regulated environment.
