Quantity Surveyor (Roads & Infrastructure)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of large-scale roads and infrastructure projects in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for all post-contract commercial and contractual activities, ensuring accurate cost control, compliance with contract requirements, and effective financial management throughout the project lifecycle.

This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to manage complex commercial matters within major infrastructure programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Measure, value, and price works in accordance with contract drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities

  • Manage all post-contract quantity surveying functions, including interim payments, final accounts, variations, claims, and contractual correspondence

  • Prepare, audit, and verify contractor payment applications and valuations

  • Ensure timely submission, accuracy, and completeness of interim and final valuations

  • Check, verify, and record measurements of completed works on site

  • Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate variations, dayworks, and claims

  • Monitor cash flow forecasts and update final cost estimates for contracts

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date expenditure records and cost reports

  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to project management teams

  • Review, negotiate, and support settlement of contractual claims

  • Coordinate, supervise, and guide the activities of the project Quantity Surveying team

  • Prepare financial statements and contribute to monthly commercial and project reports

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and commercial best practices


Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working on large-scale roads and infrastructure projects

  • Strong expertise in post-contract administration and commercial management

  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, variations, and claims management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both senior management and site teams

  • Strong analytical, organisational, and leadership skills
