Chalhoub Group, the Middle East’s leading luxury retail partner, is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Interior Design to oversee the end-to-end delivery of interior fit-out projects for its luxury homeware and retail boutiques across the region.

This role is execution-focused and requires a hands-on project management professional with strong technical expertise, capable of managing multiple projects from concept through handover while ensuring design integrity, quality standards, cost control, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Management

• Lead the complete lifecycle of interior design and fit-out projects, from concept development to final handover

• Ensure alignment with approved design intent, brand standards, quality benchmarks, budgets, and timelines

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously across different locations

Stakeholder & Authority Coordination

• Proactively liaise with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

• Identify and address all regulatory, legal, and authority-related requirements in the correct sequence

• Ensure all permits, approvals, and authorizations are obtained on time

Reporting & Risk Management

• Provide regular progress updates and detailed project status reports to senior management

• Identify risks, delays, or challenges and propose practical mitigation solutions

• Monitor key milestones, approvals, payments, and material deliveries

Site Coordination & Supervision

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and quality against approved drawings and specifications

• Coordinate with contractors and consultants to resolve on-site issues efficiently

• Track site progress, highlight deviations, and recommend corrective actions

Design & Technical Support

• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation prior to execution

• Prepare and review layouts, space plans, and 3D visuals using AutoCAD and/or SketchUp

• Coordinate closely with the design team to ensure drawings and documentation reflect site progress and changes

Contracts & Procurement Support

• Support the preparation of BOQs, cost estimates, vendor quotations, and contract documentation

• Review supplier proposals and material specifications

• Follow up on procurement schedules, deliveries, and payment cycles

Requirements

• 7–10 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 5 years in interior design project management within luxury retail, hospitality, contracting, or project management consultancies

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp (3Ds Max experience is an advantage)

• Ability to produce layouts, technical drawings, and presentation-quality renders

• Solid understanding of construction methods, fit-out execution, and site coordination

• Strong knowledge of project management best practices, procurement workflows, BOQs, and cost tracking

• Proven ability to manage projects end-to-end (portfolio required)

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform under tight deadlines

• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
