Role Purpose

The Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate, transparent, and fully compliant financial operations in line with KHDA inspection frameworks, UAE regulations, and internal governance policies. The role supports financial sustainability, ethical financial practices, and effective school leadership, contributing directly to the institution’s inspection readiness and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records with complete audit trails.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and financial controls.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure full compliance with KHDA requirements, UAE laws, and internal financial policies.

• Prepare financial documentation for KHDA inspections and external audits.

• Support leadership with inspection-ready financial reports and evidence.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Assist in annual budget preparation and ongoing budget monitoring.

• Track expenditures and support cost-control initiatives.

Fees, Payroll & Administration

• Manage student fee billing, collections, and approved discounts in accordance with school policies.

• Support payroll processing and maintain staff financial records.

• Ensure transparency in procurement processes and expenditure approvals.

Ethics & Confidentiality

• Uphold Islamic financial principles, ethical conduct, and professional integrity.

• Safeguard the confidentiality of financial, staff, and student information at all times.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory).

• Professional certification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA (preferred).

• 3–5 years’ experience in a KHDA-regulated school or UAE educational institution.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of financial governance and compliance in the education sector.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel.

• Strong documentation skills suitable for audits and inspections.

• Professional integrity, cultural sensitivity, and ethical awareness.

• Fluent Arabic communication skills (mandatory).
