SEHA – Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Specialist to join Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC). This full-time, on-site role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality healthcare services. The role requires expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing anesthesia needs for a wide range of medical procedures while maintaining compliance with DOH regulations and hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough patient assessments, take detailed medical histories, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.

Develop individualized anesthesia plans tailored to patient needs and surgical requirements.

Perform all required anesthesia procedures, administer medications, and monitor patient responses throughout procedures.

Collaborate with other medical specialists and departments for integrated patient care.

Accurately document all clinical activities per legal, regulatory, and hospital standards.

Participate in quality improvement programs, clinical audits, and research initiatives to enhance care standards.

Provide supervision, guidance, and training to junior physicians, residents, and medical students.

Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and families, ensuring informed consent for all procedures.

Comply with all DOH regulations, hospital protocols, occupational safety guidelines, and infection control policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
-
MBBS or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school.
Post-Graduate Training:
-
Completion of a structured clinical residency or fellowship in Anesthesia.
Experience:
-
Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience after specialization, as per DOH tier requirements.
Licensing:
-
Valid Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi license or Eligibility Letter preferred.

Valid medical license/registration from the country of last/current practice.

Certificate of Good Standing from relevant licensing authority.

Successful completion of the DOH licensing examination (including oral assessment where applicable).
Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Advanced problem-solving abilities.

Commitment to continuous medical education (CME/CPD).
Languages:

Fluency in English and Arabic required.

Additional language proficiency is an advantage.
