Crew Management Partner | V.Group

V.Group, a global leader in ship management and marine services, is seeking a Crew Management Partner to ensure compliance with customer agreements, crew planning, engagement, and service delivery. This role acts as the primary interface between seafarers, fleet management, crewing operations, and external stakeholders, delivering operational excellence across assigned fleets.


Key Responsibilities:

Crew Management & Service Delivery

  • Ensure all duties comply with VMS, national, and international maritime regulations.

  • Collaborate with Fleet Cell and Marine HR to deliver services per customer contracts.

  • Act as the escalation point for crew-related matters and resolve issues.

  • Manage KPIs and budgets related to crew operations.

Crew Planning & Workforce Management

  • Maintain effective crew rotation plans for vessels.

  • Identify and recruit candidates from fleet crew pools.

  • Support crew engagement, welfare, and career progression.

  • Address crew retention risks and implement solutions.

Budget Management & Operational Efficiency

  • Own and manage vessel budgets, including wages, benefits, and crewing costs.

  • Provide insights and recommendations for operational improvement.

Compliance, Industrial Relations & HSSEQ Support

  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and industrial relations standards.

  • Support HSSEQ investigations and implement corrective actions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for efficient crew management.

  • Provide feedback on process improvements and digital tools (ShipSure, V.Crew Connect).

  • Deliver transparent, data-driven reports to clients and management.


Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

  • Experience in maritime or shipping industry.

  • Knowledge of crew operations, planning, and workforce management.

  • Customer service mindset with strong relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage budgets, reports, and KPIs effectively.

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills.

  • Technology and data analysis proficiency.

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in ShipSure and planning tools.

  • Multinational work experience.
