Job Overview:

We are seeking an Insurance Coordinator to support outpatient services by managing accurate medical coding, claim submissions, and insurance coordination. The role ensures compliance with UAE insurance guidelines and maximizes revenue cycle efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure 100% timely claim submission for IBO Medical Center.

• Review outpatient clinical documentation and assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.

• Validate insurance approvals, coverage policies, and coding requirements before claim submission.

• Cross-check diagnosis and procedure codes with physician documentation.

• Collaborate with doctors and clinical staff to clarify diagnoses or missing information.

• Support billing team in resolving claim rejections or denials.

• Keep updated with insurance guidelines, coding rule changes, and payer circulars.

• Generate coding audit reports to ensure documentation and billing accuracy.

• Assist in internal and external audits and compliance checks.

• Participate in training sessions and improve coding workflows.

• Ensure proper documentation in patient records and hospital systems.

• Adhere to DHA/MOH/DOH regulations and payer-specific requirements.

• Coordinate timely claim submission and resubmission processes.

• Complete special tasks as assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in medical or healthcare-related field.

• 3–5 years of UAE experience in outpatient medical coding at a clinic or hospital.

• Familiarity with DHA/MOH/DOH insurance regulations and payer portals (eClaimLink, Riayati, Shafafiya).

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent (AAPC/AHIMA recognized).

• Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.

• Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR/HIS systems.
