The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking a Dean of the College of Education (CEDU) to provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the college. The role focuses on academic excellence, research, faculty development, student success, and fostering strong partnerships with government agencies, educational institutions, and industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership to advance the college’s mission in teacher education, educational research, and policy development.

• Oversee curriculum development, accreditation, and ensure programs meet international educator preparation standards.

• Recruit, mentor, and support faculty members while promoting professional growth and scholarship.

• Foster research culture, support grants and publications, and drive innovation in pedagogy and learning technologies.

• Enhance student engagement, retention, and career readiness through internships, mentorship, and field experiences.

• Strengthen community and school partnerships to improve educational outcomes and teacher training.

• Manage budgeting, fundraising, and resource allocation, securing external funding through grants and sponsorships.

• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across faculty, students, and programs.

• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, institutional policies, and teacher certification requirements.

• Advocate for educational policy development and curriculum reforms at regional and national levels.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Ph.D. or terminal degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of academic leadership experience (Associate Dean or higher) at an accredited university.

• Distinguished record of research, teaching, and service in education.

• Strong connections with educational institutions, government agencies, and community partners.

• Experience with CAEP accreditation and academic program development preferred.

• Expertise in fundraising, grant writing, and budget management.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
