Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), one of the UAE’s leading healthcare institutions, is seeking a skilled Audiologist to join its team in Abu Dhabi. The Audiologist will be responsible for performing comprehensive audiological evaluations, diagnosing hearing and balance disorders, prescribing and managing hearing aids, and guiding patients through educational and rehabilitation services. This role ensures patients receive high-quality diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative audiology care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations and diagnose hearing and vestibular disorders.

• Perform hearing aid evaluations, prescribe devices, and train patients in their use.

• Provide ear mould fitting services, including training patients and carers on correct insertion and care.

• Perform, interpret, and document complex audiology tests for accurate diagnosis.

• Manage hearing aid testing, repairs, and electro-acoustical assessments.

• Determine candidacy for cochlear implants and perform mapping procedures.

• Provide vestibular diagnostic and rehabilitative services.

• Carry out neonatal hearing screening when required.

• Maintain accurate, concise, and legible documentation of all clinical findings and interventions.

• Ensure inventory of audiology supplies and equipment is maintained.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education (Required):

  • BSc in Speech & Hearing, Audiology, or Hearing & Speech Sciences.

  • Current National License.

• Education (Desired):

  • MSc in Speech & Hearing, Speech Language Pathology, Speech Sciences, or Communication Disorders/Sciences (reduces required years of experience by one year).

• Experience (Required): Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in audiology or speech and hearing sciences within a hospital setting.
