Twine is seeking a freelance Screenwriter (Narrative Director) to craft the story for Lunoris, a fantasy puzzle-platformer that explores themes of grief, loneliness, and memory through a dual-realm system of dreams and nightmares. This role involves shaping an emotionally compelling 1–2 hour demo (Chapters 0–1) with cinematic storytelling inspired by acclaimed titles like The Last of Us and Red Dead Redemption 2. The initial contract is short-term (1–2 weeks), with the possibility of extended collaboration if the project secures funding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write a 3–5 page story treatment outlining the demo’s narrative arc.

• Create refined character arcs that reflect emotional depth.

• Develop scene breakdowns for three cinematic sequences, including cutscene beats.

• Provide dialogue samples that align with character voices and atmosphere.

• Collaborate with the creative director to ensure consistency with existing lore.

• Ensure storytelling complements gameplay mechanics and the dual-realm design.

• Deliver polished narrative materials for investor pitches and community engagement.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in screenwriting or narrative design for video games.

• Strong storytelling ability with focus on cinematic structure and character-driven arcs.

• Experience writing immersive dialogue that enhances emotional engagement.

• Knowledge of narrative pacing, cutscene integration, and interactive storytelling.
