Aldar Education is seeking Elementary Homeroom Teachers for Virginia International Private School to join its renowned network in September 2025. This role offers an opportunity to inspire students, deliver engaging lessons, and contribute to the growth of Abu Dhabi’s leading education group, supporting over 38,000 students across 31 schools.
Responsibilities:
Teamwork & Collaboration:

Communicate effectively at all levels within the school community.

Develop positive relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.

Collaborate with fellow teachers to plan engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum.

Work with curriculum support staff to support students’ development.
Teaching & Learning:
-
Deliver lessons that inspire and motivate students.
-
Organize classroom resources and displays to create an engaging learning environment.
-
Plan and present lessons catering to the full range of student abilities.
-
Observe, assess, and reflect on student progress; adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
-
Collaborate with specialists such as speech therapists or educational psychologists as needed.

Embed Virginia International Private School’s Teacher and Learner DNA throughout the curriculum.
Assessment & Data:
-
Take responsibility for class progress and development.
-
Use Target Tracker and assessment data to inform planning and interventions.
-
Provide regular feedback to parents during conferences and meetings.
Behaviour Management & Duties:

Implement school behaviour policies and manage classes effectively.

Promote positive attitudes, values, and behaviours.
-
Serve as a role model and maintain high expectations for student conduct.

Perform additional duties as required by school policy.
Wider Professional Responsibilities:

Participate in curriculum action groups and support school events or extracurricular activities (including weekends/evenings).

Communicate effectively with parents regarding student achievements and well-being.

Contribute to the broader life and ethos of the school.

Run a weekly extracurricular activity (ECA) each term.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent field with PGCE.
