Dubai Public Prosecution, under the Dubai Careers – A Smart Dubai Initiative, is hiring a full-time Accountant to join its Financial Department. This on-site role is exclusively open to UAE Nationals and offers a dynamic opportunity to support key financial operations including payment processing, reconciliations, reporting, budgeting, and asset management.

The selected candidate will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing periodic reports, and contributing to annual financial planning and reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with internal departments for streamlined financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and record invoices for payment processing, including preparation of vouchers and checks.

• Issue checks for payment orders related to insurance cases (opinion and recovery).

• Prepare and approve daily accounting entries, subject to Financial Director’s authorization.

• Import and audit bank statements and conduct bank reconciliations.

• Perform daily postings and support month-end closing processes.

• Prepare monthly trial balances, statements of accounts, and reconciliation reports.

• Print and reconcile financial reports with the general ledger and trial balance.

• Record, review, and reconcile fixed assets.

• Assist in the preparation of property management financial reports.

• Contribute to the generation of periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually).

• Support the preparation of the organization’s annual financial budget.

• Assist in closing the accounts at the fiscal year-end for reconciliation purposes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• Strong understanding of accounting practices and financial reconciliation.

• UAE Nationality is required.
