Dubai Air Navigation Services (dans), under the umbrella of Dubai Careers – A Smart Dubai Initiative, is seeking an experienced Innovation Manager to lead the development and implementation of innovation strategies and governance frameworks. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in innovation management and strategic foresight, ideally within aviation or government sectors.

The Innovation Manager will be responsible for aligning innovation policies with organizational and national strategies, fostering partnerships with research institutions, enabling a culture of innovation among employees, and ensuring effective knowledge and intellectual property management. The role also involves performance tracking, compliance reporting, and participation in global and local innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and revise the organization’s innovation strategy and policy in line with dans’ vision and Dubai government strategies.

• Establish and implement governance structures, policies, and procedures for innovation practices.

• Build partnerships with academic institutions, research centers, and stakeholders across sectors to support innovation efforts.

• Promote a culture of innovation through awareness programs and capacity-building workshops for employees.

• Design and implement a knowledge management framework to identify and utilize innovation opportunities across the organization.

• Monitor and report on the effectiveness, performance, and value realization of innovation initiatives.

• Support the registration and tracking of intellectual property (IP) for key innovative projects.

• Facilitate dans’ participation in national and international innovation programs and initiatives.

• Perform related tasks as directed by senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience.

• A Master’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline is preferred, with a minimum of 8 years of experience.

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in innovation management, future foresight, and strategic planning.

• Ability to train and raise awareness on innovation concepts across organizational levels.

Skills Required:

• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in technical writing, reporting, and data analysis.

• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and databases.

• Negotiation and influencing skills.

• Strong project management experience.

• Familiarity with Q-Pulse compliance management system is a plus.
