Topero Properties, a visionary real estate development company in the UAE with over 36 years of experience and a successful portfolio of 10+ projects, is seeking a highly skilled Contract Administrator. This full-time, on-site role in Dubai requires managing contractual matters for real estate development projects, including contract administration, legal interpretation, and drafting of legally sound correspondence to protect the Developer’s interests. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in contract management, especially under FIDIC conditions, and possess a deep understanding of construction law and claims management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer contract documentation through all project phases including pre-contract, post-contract, and close-out.

  • Monitor compliance of PMC, contractors, and consultants with contractual obligations.

  • Review and assess contractor and consultant claims such as time extensions, delays, and penalties.

  • Maintain contract records, logs, and trackers for claims, variations, extensions of time (EOT), and notices.

  • Manage change processes, validating contractual variations against agreements.

  • Draft, review, and issue professional contractual correspondence (instructions, determinations, claims responses, dispute notices) that protect the Developer’s position.

  • Interpret key contractual clauses from FIDIC 2017 and other standard construction contracts (Design & Build, EPC, lump sum).

  • Advise on contractual risks and strategies for claim avoidance and dispute resolution.

  • Coordinate with legal counsel on contentious matters and dispute resolutions.

  • Assist in claims and dispute management, preparing defence documentation for disputes or litigation/arbitration.

  • Liaise with PMC, consultants, contractors, and internal teams across Development, Project Management, Legal, and Finance.

  • Attend project meetings addressing contractual and commercial issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.

  • 10–15 years’ experience in contract administration within construction or real estate development.

  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC 2017 Conditions of Contract, Bill of Quantities General Requirements (POMI), RICS New Rules of Measurement (NRM), CESMM 3, and other international measurement standards.

  • Legal knowledge related to construction contracts, preferably FIDIC-based, with UAE law experience a plus.

  • Proven track record in drafting and reviewing formal contractual letters and notices with legal precision.

  • Familiarity with dispute resolution processes including claims management and arbitration support.

  • Excellent written communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability.

  • Proficient in MS Office and contract management software.

  • Experience working with Developers, PMC, or Consultant organizations in UAE/GCC.

  • Experience in high-value mixed-use, residential, or commercial real estate projects is preferred.

  • Membership in professional bodies such as RICS, CIArb, or equivalent is advantageous.
