We are seeking a proactive and experienced Logistics Team Leader to supervise and coordinate logistics operations, ensuring efficient and compliant handling of inbound and outbound shipments via road, sea, and air freight to our UAE plant. This role plays a critical part in succession planning and supports the superintendent in daily operational tasks and reporting. The successful candidate will lead a team to meet shipment schedules, optimize routing and costs, and maintain accurate documentation, all while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, monitor, and regulate team performance, setting KPIs and conducting performance reviews.

• Plan shipments according to sales orders and proforma invoices; assist in shipping and warehouse operations as needed.

• Coordinate container and truck bookings, securing best rates and routes for inbound shipments.

• Prepare and circulate daily loading schedules 24 hours in advance to relevant parties.

• Track inbound containers, escalate delays, and ensure timely delivery of goods.

• Review and verify shipment documentation for accuracy and completeness.

• Prepare timely statements and reports with analytics for management and supply chain visibility.

• Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure smooth shipping operations.

• Lead transition and training efforts for Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system related to logistics.

• Implement and monitor departmental policies and procedures for controlled work processes.

• Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications & Knowledge:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma, preferably in Logistics or related field.

• Knowledge of international shipping conventions, protocols, and procedures.

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in FMCG distribution.

• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ERP system knowledge preferred.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and organize a team.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Good understanding of FMCG business operations.
