KILONEWTONS, a leading industrial and construction firm renowned for delivering large-scale steel fabrication and structural engineering solutions across the Middle East, is hiring an experienced Steelworks Manager to lead its Dubai operations. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Dubai Industrial City, offering an opportunity to oversee complex steel production processes and drive project excellence.

The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience in steel fabrication and proven leadership in managing large teams and complex operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• ✅ Production Oversight:
  Oversee all daily steel fabrication activities, including cutting, welding (MIG, TIG, ARC), bending, and final assembly.

• ✅ Quality Assurance:
  Ensure strict adherence to international steel quality standards (ASTM, AISC, EN, BS).

• ✅ Team Leadership:
  Supervise a workforce of engineers, technicians, and welders (50+ staff) while fostering a safety-first, performance-driven culture.

• ✅ Project Management:
  Interface with clients, consultants, and design teams to ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery.

• ✅ Cost & Efficiency Optimization:
  Manage labor, materials, and equipment for maximum output and minimum waste.

• ✅ Health & Safety Compliance:
  Enforce OSHA, UAE, and international health and safety standards.

• ✅ Vendor Management:
  Identify and negotiate with steel suppliers to ensure consistent material quality and supply chain stability.

• ✅ Technical Coordination:
  Review structural drawings, fabrication methodologies, and bills of quantities (BOQs).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of steel fabrication/structural engineering experience in industrial or construction sectors.

• Proven ability to manage large teams and production lines in a steel manufacturing setup.

• Strong knowledge of steel grades, fabrication techniques, and CNC machinery.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar detailing software.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

• Knowledge of UAE/GCC construction standards.

• PMP certification and Arabic language skills are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in oil & gas, shipbuilding, or high-rise steel structures.

• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.

• Experience coordinating field operations and design execution.
