The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is looking for a skilled and passionate Multimedia Reporter (per-piece contractor) to join their digital content team in the United Arab Emirates. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for a digital storyteller with a sharp news sense, fluency in Arabic, and a strong background in multimedia content creation across video, audio, and written formats. The role supports MBN’s mission to deliver high-impact journalism with a focus on the MENA region and U.S. affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, develop, and deliver multimedia content, including video reports, articles, interviews, features, and data-driven stories.

• Conduct interviews, verify facts, and build credible sources within the region.

• Pitch timely and relevant story ideas aligned with MBN’s editorial priorities.

• Collaborate with editors to ensure content is tailored to platform-specific formats (text, video, visual, or social adaptation).

• Uphold MBN’s Journalistic Code of Ethics in all reporting.

• Maintain consistent communication with editorial leads and deliver work independently from concept to final content.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, media, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in reporting or multimedia journalism.

• Proven ability in shooting and editing engaging digital video packages.

• Strong editorial judgment and high energy in a fast-paced news environment.

• Fluency in Arabic and strong English communication skills.

• Proficiency in digital journalism tools and platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube).

• Knowledge of Middle East affairs and international current events.

• Track record in investigative journalism, policy analysis, or data storytelling.

• Familiarity with open-source research, primary document analysis, and data visualization is a plus.

• Ability to manage tight deadlines and produce high-quality work under pressure.

• Deep understanding of Arabic culture and media landscape is highly desirable.
