Job Summary
Arabian Gulf Business Insight (AGBI.com), a premium MENA-focused business news platform, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Manager to lead our digital audience engagement strategy. This role is ideal for a media-savvy content creator with strong knowledge of social platforms, editorial collaboration, and data-driven storytelling. Based in Dubai, you’ll work closely with editorial, marketing, and PR teams to expand our presence across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, and emerging Middle East-specific channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Platform Management

Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy aligned with editorial goals

Manage and grow engagement across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), and emerging platforms

Maintain an internal content calendar, collaborate across departments, and champion social media best practices

Stay current with regional platform trends and propose innovative audience engagement strategies
2. Content Creation & Campaigns
-
Create and schedule engaging posts aligned with editorial content
-
Write, edit, and optimize platform-specific copy, images, GIFs, videos, polls, and infographics

Collaborate with graphic designers to uphold storytelling quality

Support organic and paid campaigns with the Audience Development Manager

Plan and execute live coverage at trade shows and industry events
3. Community Engagement

Monitor and respond to audience comments and DMs
-
Manage community sentiment, mitigate negative interactions professionally
-
Build partnerships with influencers and creators to enhance visibility
4. Analytics & Reporting

Track, measure, and report social media performance using analytics tools

Conduct competitor benchmarking and trend analysis

Deliver actionable insights to enhance platform performance and editorial decisions
Requirements
-
3+ years of experience managing social media in news/media organizations
-
Proficiency in LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and knowledge of Bluesky and Middle Eastern social platforms

Experience with Meta Business Suite and LinkedIn Advertising

Excellent copywriting and visual storytelling skills for digital audiences

Experience collaborating with designers, PR teams, and influencers

Familiarity with analytics tools and performance reporting

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to fast-paced editorial shifts
