Cargoz.com is seeking a strategic and detail-driven Assistant Manager – Accounts & Finance to optimize financial health, ensure compliance, and provide leadership within its logistics and supply chain sector. This full-time, on-site role in Dubai requires strong analytical skills, the ability to turn financial data into strategic decisions, and expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes for accuracy and timeliness
• Develop budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses
• Ensure compliance with tax filings, regulations, and statutory reporting
• Oversee billing, collections, vendor payments, and daily cash management
• Improve credit control processes to reduce aged receivables
• Manage vendor payments while maintaining optimal cash flow
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP accounting standards
• Serve as the main contact for audits (internal & external)
• Monitor GST, VAT, customs duties, and corporate taxation in logistics
• Lead, train, and mentor the accounting team for professional growth
• Conduct internal financial training on logistics-specific accounting practices
• Collaborate across departments to enhance financial workflows

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (mandatory)
• CA, CPA, CMA, or similar certification (preferred)
• 6–10 years of progressive experience in accounting (min. 3 years in management)
• Experience in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry (preferred)
• Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks, industry-specific platforms)
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
