J10 Consulting is recruiting for a reputable specialist lighting contractor in Dubai, seeking an experienced Cost Engineer with strong expertise in lighting systems across commercial, hospitality, and corporate interior projects. This is a permanent direct hire opportunity for immediate joining.

As a Cost Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in both pre- and post-contract stages of lighting projects. Your focus will be on producing accurate estimates, cost planning, value engineering, and ensuring the financial efficiency of lighting solutions in high-end interior environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project drawings, BOQs, and specifications.

• Collaborate with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure cost-effective engineering solutions.

• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and time costs to create competitive project bids.

• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle and report on variances or savings.

• Conduct value engineering exercises to reduce costs while maintaining quality and performance.

• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for quotations and ensure best pricing practices.

• Maintain a structured cost database including historical pricing and vendor performance.

• Support procurement teams with vendor selection and budget approvals.

• Participate in project reviews and risk assessments related to budget and cost control.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or similar.

• Minimum 3 years of UAE-based cost engineering experience, including at least 1–2 years in lighting-specific projects.

• Strong knowledge of lighting systems, fixtures, components, and MEP integration.

• Proficient in estimation software, AutoCAD, and MS Office (especially Excel).

• Exceptional analytical and negotiation skills with a detail-oriented approach.

• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
