Sanofi is seeking an experienced and strategic RWE (Real-World Evidence) Medical Lead to join their team in Dubai. This full-time, permanent role offers 50% remote work flexibility and involves occasional travel based on location needs. The selected candidate will play a critical role in shaping real-world data strategies and evidence generation activities to support the development, launch, and commercialization of pharmaceutical products across the entire lifecycle.
The RWE Medical Lead will act as a local expert and bridge between the country-level operations and Sanofi’s global RWE team. Responsibilities include leading local RWE strategy development, designing and executing observational studies, identifying fit-for-purpose real-world data sources, and collaborating across clinical, medical affairs, market access, and commercial teams. The role is central to driving impactful data-driven decisions that enhance patient outcomes, regulatory strategies, and market access.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the local medical RWE expert, ensuring alignment with global strategies.

Develop and implement local RWE strategies and initiatives aligned with business goals.

Lead the design and execution of observational studies, registries, and retrospective analyses.

Identify local data gaps and opportunities in collaboration with global and regional teams.

Manage relationships with CROs, data providers, and academic institutions.

Analyze and interpret RWD using advanced statistical and epidemiological methods.

Represent Sanofi at scientific conferences and engage with regulatory bodies and healthcare providers.

Lead local upskilling in RWE methodologies and ensure adoption of global learning initiatives.

Stay updated on RWE trends, data science advancements, and regulatory guidance.

Ensure timely execution of RWE operational plans and integration into broader medical strategy.
Required Education & Experience:
-
Advanced degree in life sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, or a related discipline.

Additional business or management education is desirable.

Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end RWE studies, particularly for regulatory or reimbursement use.

Strong track record of publications in peer-reviewed epidemiology or HEOR journals.

Experience in public health, clinical research, or pharmaco-epidemiology.

Preferred experience in therapeutic areas such as diabetes, immunology, hematology, rare diseases, or cardiovascular disease.

Experience working in global matrix organizations and cross-functional teams.
