Position: Materials Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Materials Engineer with expertise in bridge construction to join our UAE-based infrastructure team. You will be responsible for managing material selection, quality assurance, testing, and compliance aligned with project specs and international standards. Your role will ensure the highest material performance on major bridge and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Review and approve material submittals according to project requirements, international codes (BS, ASTM, AASHTO), and UAE regulations.

Conduct site inspections to verify material compliance and proper handling/storage.

Coordinate material testing and evaluation (concrete, steel, asphalt, soil) with certified labs.

Maintain material approval logs, test reports, and quality documentation.

Collaborate with design engineers, contractors, and suppliers on material selection and technical issues.

Analyze material performance and recommend alternatives when needed.

Support corrective actions for non-conformance reports (NCRs).

Promote sustainability by suggesting environmentally friendly material options.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Materials Engineer on bridge or large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in UAE/GCC.

Deep knowledge of material properties, testing methods, and relevant standards.

Familiarity with UAE municipality regulations and DOT standards.

Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.

Proficient in material testing software and Microsoft Office.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Based in UAE (mandatory).
Salary & Benefits:

AED 10,000 to 14,000 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances)
